Ania’s Story

This is Ania, my childhood friend, cousin and an absolute angel in our family – dancing up a storm at our wedding in Poland earlier this year.

She is in the fight for her life right now.  After being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 27, Ania underwent a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and 4 years of treatment.  We all thought and hoped this was behind us.  Then, earlier this month, we found out that the cancer has returned to her spine, lungs and and neck.  Unfortunately, there is no cure and the only hope we have is alternative medicine.  We’re trying to raise some funds for her to go to the Gerson Institute so she can get the help she needs.

It`s quite difficult to write this from across the ocean, and not be able to hug her, or tell her a stupid joke to cheer up the mood.  I wish I had go-go-gadget arms that stretched from here to Brighton, where she lives.  But I don’t.  So we’re trying to help in a way that we can.

We have a few dates open this summer, and we`d love to fill them with couples by donation.  Meaning, if you book a wedding with us on June 20th, October 17th or 24th, 100% of the money will go to help Ania fight for her life and beat this once and for all.   I’ll also be scheduling some mini family sessions in Ottawa this summer, with 100% of the proceeds going to Ania and her husband Kacper, keep your ears open for that.  To find out more about the available dates, please contact us.

If you`re not getting married and would still like to help anyway, click HERE or just share this post all around the internet!

When you love someone, you refuse to imagine your life without them and you have to try everything you can.   Thank you for reading and your support.
