When Joel and I started planning our own wedding, my mom suggested we do it in a castle in Poland. My immediate knee-jerk reaction was my mother is crazy and there is no way we can afford that, plus who gets married in a castle in Poland??? Boy was my face red when we actually stopped by some of the castles we COULD have had our wedding in while on our honeymoon. You can actually get married in a castle in Poland (and do it very affordability). There are so many to choose from – we stopped by a few and below are some photos from our favourite ones. If you’re considering a destination wedding in Europe, and are intrigued by what Poland has to offer, drop us a line. We were completely blown away. I had to pick my jaw up off the ground, eat a slice of humble pie, look my dear mother in the eyes and say As usual, Mom, you were right and you know best. Mothers really do know best.
If you’re interested, check these castles here, that you can rent out for wedding ceremonies: Pałac Łomnica | Pałac w Wojanowie | Staniszów na wodzie. If you’re looking for a photographer, you know who to call.
This is awesome!!! Thank you! My boyfriend, now fiancé, and I just got engaged. He is from Lublin and we’d like to have a wedding back in Poland. We live in WA now. Your posts are great and much appreciated.
Hi Diana, thanks for your comment! If you have any questions about getting married in Poland, do let us know. We had a smaller reception in the south with about 50 people and it was phenomenal!
